Is SAGE & THYME cost-effective?

To determine whether SAGE & THYME training is value for money:

  • We looked at the cost of two scenarios:

Scenario 1: four facilitators trained in Manchester in year 1 and training delivered under a organisational licence for 3 years.

Scenario 2: six facilitators trained in Manchester in year 1 and training delivered under a network licence for 3 years.

  • In each scenario, we assumed that the SAGE & THYME Foundation Level workshop was being taught by the facilitators, and that each workshop was full (with 30 learners).
  • We looked at the cost in years 1, 2 and 3 when between 4 and 12 workshops were run per year.

We found that the cost of running a SAGE & THYME Foundation Level workshop was between £12 and £58 per learner.

The cost reduced as the number of workshops increased, and as the training was delivered over more than one year.
